Putin says Russia to prolong pharmaceutical program till 2030

MOSCOW, Nov 26 (PRIME) – The Russia government will discuss prolongation of a pharmaceutical industry program, launched in 2010, until 2030 with the pharmaceutical companies, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday during an online conference devoted to the launch of a new facility of BratskChemSyntez.

“We have to prolong the program for development of the pharmaceutical industry,” Putin said.

“We now have to think what and how we will do it until 2030. We should definitely do it, this is a good suggestion. We will obviously work on that together with you and your colleagues that are engaged in the Russian pharmaceutical industry.”

He also pointed out that hi-tech pharmaceutical companies create new jobs and demand for promising technologies. It improves research teams in the country and Russia’s position in the global industry.

“We will continue to support similar projects and guide our development institutions to the tasks like these,” Putin said.
